Terms of Use

These terms set the rules for using arabicfont.net. By browsing the site, you accept them. The site is free and needs no account. Its publisher is named in the legal notice.

What the site offers

  • a catalog of free Arabic fonts, with previews, license details and downloads;
  • pages on paid Arabic fonts, with links to the stores that sell them;
  • an online Arabic keyboard that turns Latin letters and Arabizi into Arabic script;
  • articles on Arabic typography, calligraphy and using Arabic in everyday software.

Fonts and licenses

We only offer downloads of fonts whose license allows redistribution, such as the SIL Open Font License (OFL). Every download contains the original font files and their license text.

A font’s license is an agreement between you and its designer, not arabicfont.net. Read it before using a font in a commercial project, a logo or an app: the license is what counts, even where our page sums it up. Most free licenses, starting with the OFL, forbid selling a font on its own, and none lets you present it as your own work.

We check the license of every font before it goes online. Mistakes can still happen: if you spot one, report it through the contact page.

The Arabic keyboard

The keyboard suggests Arabic spelling from what you type. The conversion is automatic and can be wrong, especially with names and dialect words. Before you print, engrave or tattoo a text, have it checked by someone who reads Arabic.

Some pages link to paid fonts sold by other websites. If you buy after following one of these links, we may earn a commission, at no extra cost to you. The purchase, the license and the payment happen on the seller’s website, under its own terms.

Ratings and comments

You can rate fonts and comment on some pages. Please stay polite and on topic. We may moderate or delete comments that are off topic, abusive, promotional or unlawful, as well as votes that are clearly automated.

What is not allowed

  • copying the catalog or articles in bulk, by script or by hand;
  • getting around the site’s limits or flooding it with requests;
  • sending advertising through the contact form or the comments.

Liability

We keep the site up to date with care, but we cannot promise it is free of errors or always available. Fonts and tools are provided as is. We are not responsible for the third-party websites we link to.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; the date below shows the current version. They are governed by Tunisian law. If you live in the European Union, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of your country.
