Layla Boxer is an angular Arabic and Latin display typeface by Mohammed Isam. Its rectangular construction gives a short headline a compact, block-like rhythm. The download contains the original version 2.0 TTF and one Regular 400 style.
Square shapes for a compact message
Try Boxer for a poster heading, a game-inspired event graphic, or a short packaging label. Its sharp corners and repeated upright strokes create a different impression from a rounded reading font. Give the wording enough room to show those distinctions, especially when several similar letters occur next to one another.
In advertising and poster layouts, begin with the full headline rather than a single attractive word. Reduce the composition to its final thumbnail size and check that the points and internal spaces remain visible. Use a quieter face for the small print. This release has no dedicated bold style; synthetic bold can make the rectangular forms harder to distinguish.
What the original file includes
Basic Arabic and Persian letters, a Latin alphabet, and common vowel marks are present. The matching Latin can support a bilingual display phrase; compare a neutral companion such as Inter for longer English copy. The numeral code points cover Western, Arabic, and Persian sets, but their outlines largely follow Western digit forms. Inspect prices and dates before promising a particular numeral appearance.
The browser sample joins Arabic letters, using the font’s substitution rules. There is no GPOS positioning table. Check every marked name in your target application, and avoid treating a readable unmarked headline as proof of support for specialist vocalized texts.
Alternatives and license
Handjet offers a different digital texture, while Changa is worth comparing for a more flexible headline system. Explore the display collection and enter your own wording with the Arabic keyboard. The installation guide explains the TTF workflow.
SIL OFL 1.1 allows commercial projects and embedding. Keep the complete license when redistributing the font. It lists LaylaBoxer among eight Reserved Font Names.
