Mirza is a Naskh reading family from KB Studio with four supplied weights. Its design considers Arabic and Persian aesthetics through ligatures, and includes Latin drawn to harmonize with the Arabic. It is a useful candidate when a document needs related scripts within one family rather than a display title alone.

Start with a page of continuous text, a subheading and a bilingual caption. Compare the rhythm of ligatures in the real language content and leave enough line spacing for marks. Four weights allow a hierarchy without forcing every heading into the heaviest style. The right text size still depends on the paper or screen and the length of the reading session.

Working with Mirza

Proof an Arabic–Persian article with Latin names in the included Latin. Compare Amiri for another book-oriented Naskh and Noto Naskh Arabic for an alternative variable family. Use 500 or 600 for an intermediate heading before assuming 700 is necessary. Inspect paragraphs with repeated ligatures to decide whether their texture stays comfortable across a long page.

Files, styles and coverage

This package supplies 4 static styles, with weight values 400, 500, 600, 700. The ZIP contains the original TTF files; the web preview uses prepared WOFF2 subsets. Version: 1.0010g. The supplied font covers Arabic, Latin and Persian.

Explore books and print and other Naskh fonts. Prepare a sample with the Arabic keyboard; our guide to choosing an Arabic font covers selection and proofing.

For a Persian reading page with a single regular weight, compare Nika’s Naskh design. Unlike Mirza’s included Latin, Nika needs a separate Latin face for references; keep that difference visible in a bilingual proof.

License and original files

The ZIP includes the original files and the exact SIL Open Font License 1.1. Personal and commercial use are permitted under its terms. Retain the license when redistributing, respect reserved names and do not sell the font alone. See the official source for this version.

For a short Arabic title, compare Dimnah’s contrasting strokes. This historical file has one weight and an incomplete Persian alphabet; check every required letter before replacing Mirza in a Persian heading.
