FiraGO is a multilingual sans serif family with an Arabic design by Ralph du Carrois, Titus Nemeth, and Hasan Abu Afash. Its Latin and Arabic live in the same font files, making it useful for a shared visual system. This download includes ten original Roman TTF styles from version 1.001.
One family for a bilingual reading hierarchy
Use FiraGO for a website, a service document, or an interface that needs Arabic alongside Latin text. Start with Regular for a reading paragraph, then compare Medium or SemiBold for navigation and labels. Book 350 gives an additional step between Light 300 and Regular 400 when a layout needs a gentler text color.
For Arabic and Latin layouts, try the built-in Latin first rather than adding another family immediately. Review the apparent text size, line spacing, and punctuation in mixed sentences. A shared family reduces the number of design choices, but it does not remove the need to test right-to-left text in the final application.
What this package contains
The selected upright styles run from Thin 100 to Heavy 900, including UltraLight 200, Light 300, Book 350, Regular 400, Medium 500, SemiBold 600, Bold 700, and ExtraBold 800. Experimental hairline variants and a second style mapped to 200 are omitted. Italics are also outside this download; the files offered here are the ten Roman originals.
Basic Arabic, Persian letters, Latin, numeral sets, and common vowel marks are present. Test your marked phrases with the Arabic keyboard. Prefer a darker weight for small labels over the thinnest options. This selection does not claim specialist Quranic or Urdu typesetting support.
Compare and use the license correctly
IBM Plex Sans Arabic offers another interface voice, while Noto Sans Arabic offers variable weight and width axes; compare these controls with FiraGO’s ten separate upright files. Browse the modern sans collection and read the Arabic font selection guide.
SIL OFL 1.1 allows commercial use and embedding. Keep the supplied copyright notices and license when redistributing the font. Fira is a Reserved Font Name.
