Use the Arabic family in a wider identity
The supplied files make it possible to test a multilingual product name alongside short Arabic labels. Start with the built-in Latin, then compare the visual weight of the two scripts in the same component. A compact button and a large campaign title may need different settings.
The download includes separate upright and italic variable TTFs. Each covers weights 300 to 900, producing seven preview positions per file. Select the appropriate source in an application instead of relying on synthetic italic. The italic family label does not imply a separate traditional Arabic calligraphic style. Other Rubik display families, including Rubik Mono One, are separate downloads.
Variable files and preview weights
The ZIP contains 2 original variable TTF files, version 2.300. Axis ranges, with defaults in parentheses: wght 300–900 (300). The preview supplies 14 static styles, covering weights 300, 400, 500, 600, 700, 800, 900. Compatible software can select intermediate weights from the original file.
The documented coverage here is Arabic and Latin. Test actual words, vowel marks and mixed-direction lines in the application you will use. A font file cannot determine paragraph direction or replace a shaping engine.
For a product spanning forms and campaign headlines, compare Alan Sans’s softened grotesque design. Its single variable source offers weight changes, while Rubik’s package also supplies a separate italic source for emphasis.
License and comparison
SIL Open Font License 1.1 permits personal and commercial use, embedding and redistribution under its terms. The ZIP includes the exact license and the original files. Keep the license when redistributing the font; selling the font by itself is prohibited.
Compare IBM Plex Sans Arabic for the same bilingual product component, and Tajawal for button and navigation labels. Browse modern Arabic fonts and Arabic and Latin design. Prepare a sample with the Arabic keyboard and the Arabic font selection guide. See the official source at the supplied revision.
