Ulduz is an expressive Persian and Arabic typeface designed by Zoha Asgharzadeh, with font engineering by Amin Abedi. Its angled strokes and pointed rhythm give short phrases a distinctive voice. The download supplies the original version 1.0 Regular TTF under SIL OFL 1.1.
Give a short phrase room to move
Begin with an event heading, a greeting, or an invitation name. Ulduz’s lively drawing becomes easier to judge when the line has generous surrounding space. Keep supporting details in a quieter typeface and avoid forcing an entire schedule into the same expressive voice. A clear hierarchy will do more than adding an artificial bold weight.
For invitations and announcements, test the actual names before designing the background. Long names, stacked marks, and a narrow text box can change the balance of the composition. Check the printed result at its intended size, especially if it uses pale ink or a textured paper.
A focused Arabic and Persian character set
The file includes the basic Arabic alphabet, Persian letters, Arabic and Persian digits, and common vowel marks. It has no Latin alphabet and no Western digit set. A Latin companion is therefore necessary for English wording and Western numerals; try Source Serif 4 and adjust its size by eye. Do not assume that one matching point size produces matching prominence.
This release contains one 400 Regular style. It is a focused display choice rather than a multiweight system for an entire publication. Specialist Quranic signs and Urdu shaping are not claimed. Enter a marked phrase with the Arabic keyboard to inspect the combination you will actually use.
