Katibeh
Katibeh adds Thuluth-influenced details to Naskh headlines without being a full Thuluth design. Try its single weight with Arabic, Persian and Latin.

Katibeh is a headline family from KB Studio, built on Naskh with selected qualities associated with Thuluth. Small outward strokes give the design an archaic flavor alongside contemporary details. That influence does not make it a full Thuluth family or a substitute for a calligrapher’s composition.
Try it for an editorial title, an invitation or a cultural program with Arabic and Persian text. The Latin was drawn to harmonize with the Arabic and scaled for that relationship. Begin with this built-in pairing before adding a contrasting Latin face. Although the official description discusses ligatures suited to longer reading, validate the actual paragraph and small print before committing a whole publication.
Working with Katibeh
Set a cultural program heading and a short introduction with the included Latin alongside Arabic. Compare Amiri and Scheherazade New if the introduction becomes a full reading page. Katibeh’s headline details may be the right accent even when another Naskh carries the body. Do not label the final identity “Thuluth” merely because of the design influence.
Files, styles and coverage
This package supplies one original static TTF at weight 400 in the ZIP; the web preview uses prepared WOFF2 subsets. Version: 1.0010g. The supplied font covers Arabic, Latin and Persian.
Explore posters and advertising and other display fonts. Prepare a sample with the Arabic keyboard; our guide to choosing an Arabic font covers selection and proofing.
When the opening title needs weight variation, try El Messiri’s variable 400–700 range. Compare its brush-inspired curves with Katibeh’s single-weight details before deciding how the headline relates to the introduction.
License and original files
The ZIP includes the original files and the exact SIL Open Font License 1.1. Personal and commercial use are permitted under its terms. Retain the license when redistributing, respect reserved names and do not sell the font alone. See the official source for this version.
Compare the same short title with Layla Thuluth, an ornamental interpretation available under the OFL. Check spacing and marks separately from the stacked composition a calligrapher would arrange for the phrase.
