Reem Kufi brings a historical Kufi voice to headings, identity work and decorative lettering. Khaled Hosny’s Arabic draws on early Mushafi models and the Fatimid grid, following the work of calligrapher Mohammed Abdul Qadir. Santiago Orozco designed the Latin component.
Use it for a short name or a display line whose angular rhythm is part of the message. For long explanatory copy, choose a quieter companion and reserve Reem Kufi for hierarchy. Reem Kufi Fun and Reem Kufi Ink are separate variants; this download contains the standard family, without their decorative or color files.
Working with Reem Kufi
For an event identity, set the Arabic name beside the included Latin and inspect their apparent size. Use Noto Kufi Arabic as a more systematic Kufi comparison, and Cairo when the same project needs many levels of supporting information. Reem Kufi’s historical geometry should earn its place in the title; it need not carry the schedule or small sponsor credits.
Files, styles and coverage
The original source is variable. The preview provides 4 static positions at weights 400, 500, 600, 700. The ZIP keeps the original variable TTF files, including continuous weight selection in compatible applications. Version: 2.000. The supplied font covers Arabic and Latin.
Explore logos and identity and other Kufi fonts. Prepare a sample with the Arabic keyboard; our guide to choosing an Arabic font covers selection and proofing.
For another historical Kufi interpretation, set the same exhibition name in Qahiri’s single supplied weight. Its manuscript reference offers a different comparison from simply choosing a heavier Reem Kufi setting.
For sharper, pointed terminals, compare the same heading in Layla Koufi. It supplies one Regular 400 style, while Reem Kufi offers variable weight. Judge the corners and word spacing at the final poster size before deciding which drawing carries the title.
