Free Ramadan and Eid Fonts for Cards, Posts and Banners

5 fonts

Free Arabic fonts for Ramadan Kareem and Eid Mubarak designs: a classical Naskh for verses and supplications, a Ruq’ah hand for greetings and a bold display face for banners.

What a Ramadan design needs from a font

  • A correctly spelled greeting: the phrase is the design. Copy the formula rather than typing it from Latin letters: رمضان كريم (Ramadan Kareem), عيد مبارك (Eid Mubarak) or كل عام وأنتم بخير (kull 'am wa antum bi-khayr).
  • The right register: a verse or a supplication calls for a calm, classical face. A store banner or a family greeting can be playful.
  • Legibility at thumbnail size: greetings often travel as images in messaging apps and stories. The phrase must read in a small preview.
  • Space for decoration: lanterns, crescents and patterns compete with dots and marks. Keep ornaments away from the letters.

Which font for which greeting

Amiri suits a Quranic verse, a du'a (دعاء, supplication) or an invitation to iftar (إفطار, the meal that breaks the fast), set with full harakat (حركات, short-vowel marks). Its classical Naskh gives a respectful tone.

Aref Ruqaa makes a greeting look written by hand. It fits cards, stickers and short social posts, in Regular or Bold. It follows the Ruq'ah style, the everyday handwriting of much of the Arab world, which is why its wishes feel personal.

Lalezar is the loud option: a dense display face for a store banner, a promotion or a poster title. Set the dates and details in another face.

Practical tips for seasonal artwork

  • Set a Quranic verse in Amiri or another of the Quran fonts. Aref Ruqaa and Lalezar lack most of the Quranic signs we checked, so keep them for the greeting.
  • Paste the greeting into each font page's preview to compare the fonts, then into your design app.
  • If the letters appear disconnected or reversed in a design app, the cause is usually the app's text engine, not the font.
  • Export square and vertical versions, and check that no crop cuts through the phrase.
  • Keep an editable file for next year. Ramadan starts about eleven days earlier in the Gregorian calendar each year, so every date on the design will change.
